Irregularity in grant of free house plot; Madurai Sessions Collector’s order issued by the High Court stirs up excitement!

High Court Madurai Session

Muthuvel from Madurai filed a petition in the Madurai High Court session in which 110 people were given free house plots in Sakhimangalam village of Madurai district last February but against the government rules free house plots were given to unqualified people and Nathukattan from that area, his son and his wife are his relatives. Free house plot has been given to several persons belonging to the same family.

Do not violate the law

Relatives of one person also informed that many friends have been illegally given house plots. Only the people belonging to Sakimangalam village should be given house plots but the people belonging to nearby villages have been given plots in violation of the law.

A scheme developed for poor people

As the government has created this scheme for the people who are earning a living by doing wage work, they themselves are forced to be unable to benefit. The revenue officials are issuing the pattas illegally.

Petition hearing

He also mentioned in the petition that the Patta issued to the unqualified persons should be canceled and given to the qualified persons. And when this petition came up for hearing, the judges found that the revenue officials were illegally implementing the scheme provided on behalf of the government.

Order to file reply

They also questioned that four to five pattas have been issued to people belonging to the same family and warned that officials should appear in person in case of irregularities. Madurai District Collector and District Collector should respond accordingly and ordered to file a petition for the same. It is to be noted that the hearing of the case has been adjourned for the next two weeks in which the Madurai District Collector and the Revenue Department have been ordered to file a reply along with the relevant documents related to the case.
