Jeep Meridian: Design changes
It seems that Jeep will bring only minor design changes to the Meridian facelift model. Mainly we can expect a redesign of the front grille, bumper and fog lamp housing. Apart from this we cannot expect any major changes. The facelifted versions of the Wrangler and Compass have not undergone any major design changes. It will continue in Meridian as well.
Jeep Meridian: Interior design and safety features
Like the exterior, there will be no major design change in the interior. The new model is expected to carry the same dashboard used in the current model. But it is reported that Jeep is going to provide ADAS safety features in the new Meridian facelift model. That is the highlight of this facelift model.
Jeep Meridian: Amenities
Jeep Meridian is already being sold as a feature packed SUV model. The current Meridian model comes with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, connected deck, dual-zone climate control, wireless power charging, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting and a nine-speaker Alpine-tuned audio system. The same features will continue in its facelifted version.
Jeep Meridian: Engine
While there are no major changes in the design itself, we can’t expect any changes in the facelift’s engine. Jeep is only selling the Meridian in India with a single 2.0-litre diesel engine that churns out 170hp of power and 350Nm of torque. The facelifted model is also likely to be launched with this engine only. This engine comes with a choice of 6-speed manual and 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
Jeep Meridian: Price and Competition
The current Jeep Meridian model is priced between Rs 33.60 lakh and Rs 39.66 lakh ex-showroom. The Meridian facelift model is expected to be priced slightly higher than this. The Jeep Meridian is sold in India as a rival to the likes of the Skoda Octavia and the Volkswagen Tycoon.
