Ashmit Patel: Bollywood actor Ashmit Patel has revealed that the Pakistani government rejected his visa application for acting in an intimate scene with Pakistani actress Meera.
Bollywood actor Ashmit Patel and Pakistani actress Meera starred in the movie ‘Nasser’ released on 20th May 2005. This film has completed 19 years on the 20th.
Now, 19 years later, Ashmit Patel has revealed the shocking news that he had to travel to Pakistan for the film’s premiere but was denied a visa.
Actor Ashmit Patel explained why to a private Bollywood channel, “This film was screened at the Gaara Film Festival in Karachi, Pakistan. The title song of the film had a kiss between Meera and Meera, which created controversy.
Thus, during the film’s release, the premiere was held in Pakistan. He said the Pakistani government had rejected his visa application to travel to the premiere show. Nothing came of it except that the application was rejected. Except for me, everyone from the film’s team went.”
The film was directed by Soni Rustan and produced by Mahesh Bhatt with music composed by Anu Malik. He is one of the writers of the film. Apart from Ashmit, the film also featured stars like Goyal Puri and Neena Gupta.
