19 teachers have visited from India with the aim of raising the educational standards of the students of the upland schools. Through them, these teachers have visited to provide training in the subjects of science, information technology, engineering and mathematics to the teachers teaching in the upland schools.

Also, for the first time, trainings are being held for teachers. It is worth noting that after that training will be held for three months for the students studying in the school.

Also, 30 percent of students in hilly schools are getting more education, we discussed this issue when India’s Minister of External Affairs Dr. Jaishankar visited Sri Lanka to improve the quality of education of students.

Similarly, I would like to express my gratitude to the Minister of Education Susil Prema Jayantha and the Secretary of my Ministry and all the officials for this work.
