Maruti Suzuki Ertiga gets just 1 star rating in Global NCAP safety test

Ertiga Model for India:

Currently sold in Africa, the Ertiga model with almost the same features is also sold in India. The Ertiga model, which is currently being sold in India, has undergone a safety test by the Global NCAP organization in 2019.

The current safety regulations did not exist then. Different rules were in force then. So, at that time the same Ertiga model got 3 star rating in adult safety and 3 star rating in child safety.

Tests carried out on Ertica:

Currently, the Ertiga model has been subjected to front offset deformable barrier test at 64 kmph and side mobile barrier test at 50 kmph.

At the end of these two tests, the structure quality of the Ertiga model is not up to standard, Global NCAP said. It is also noted that its construction is a bit unstable in some places.

Overall, the Ertiga MPV model does not provide adequate safety for the passengers in this Global NCAP safety quality test results.
