Thikamadulla District Member of Parliament Advocate H.M.M. said that the results of 70 female students of Trincomalee Sahira College of Eastern Province were suspended and the students and their parents were in distress. Haris told the council and asked the education minister to take steps to publish the results of those students immediately.

While Haris was speaking on this issue, Education Minister Sushil Premajayantha responded by saying that all investigations related to this matter have been completed. I have asked the commissioner of exam department to release the result immediately. I have directed the authorities to release these results soon. He assured MP Haris that he has taken these steps as per your request.
Intervening Member of Parliament Haris asked for action to be taken to release the results of the students within this week. Minister Susil has promised to release the result this week and investigations reveal that a big mistake has been made in this matter.
This is due to the fact that Muslims wear the cultural Burdha. He further informed that the problem will be solved this week.
