Arvind Kejriwal: Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by enforcement agencies on March 21 in a money laundering case related to the Delhi liquor policy. While he was in judicial custody in Delhi’s Tihar Jail, the Supreme Court granted him interim bail on Friday.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal met the media on Saturday, the day after he was released from Tihar Jail. He then said that Modi wants to crush the Aam Aadmi Party and he has a dangerous mission of One Nation, One Leader.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal spoke in a press conference as follows:-
Modi wants to crush us. He also knows that only Aam Aadmi Party is going to give the country a bright future.
They (BJP) sent me to jail, Prime Minister says they are fighting against corruption. They (BJP) have welcomed all corrupt people in their party. If you want to fight corruption, learn from Arvind Kejriwal.
Modi has a very dangerous mission. That is ‘One Nation One Leader’. All opposition leaders will be sent to jail. Will manage all other BJP leaders and underestimate them.
If he wins the elections, he will replace Yogi Adityanath as UP Chief Minister in 2 months. They have tried to end the political career of all popular leaders in their party. Vasundhara Raje and Shivraj Chauhan are the best examples of that.
Who is your prime minister? I would like to ask the BJP. Modi will turn 75 next September. He was the one who made the rule that people should retire at the age of 75. So, he has to retire next year. So, I ask BJP, who is your prime minister?.
Who will fulfill Modi’s guarantee? Will Amit Shah make it happen? Remember when you go out to vote, you are voting for Amit Shah, not Modi.
My prediction is that BJP will not form the government on June 4. My estimation says that BJP will get 220-230 seats. The Indian Alliance will form the government and the Aam Aadmi Party will be a part of that government. We will give full statehood to Delhi. Delhi will have a people’s governor and not one from Gujarat.
Why didn’t I resign when I was arrested? Aam Aadmi Party has won in Delhi by an unprecedented margin. They know they can’t beat us even for the next 20 years. They conspired to topple the Aam Aadmi government after I resigned. I said that I will not resign and will run the government from jail. Even Hemant Soran should not have resigned.
