So far, 435 complaints have been registered with Cafe Election Monitoring Organization, an independent and fair people’s organization regarding the upcoming presidential election. According to Manas Makin, executive director of the cafe organization, most of the complaints are related to illegal election campaign activities.
Most of the complaints reported from the day of issuance of instructions regarding the presidential election to the day of filing of nominations were related to abuse of state property. However, since the filing of nomination papers, most of the complaints that have been reported to the cafe organization have been related to violations of the election law, according to Manas Maheen, the executive director of the cafe organization.
In order to be involved in the monitoring activities of the upcoming presidential election, Cafe Organization has established 160 long-term observers in 25 districts and 25 district coordinators and is engaged in pre-election monitoring activities. Similarly, 40 long-term observers have been established in 40 electoral constituencies to monitor election campaign funds and monitoring of expenditure related to the expenditure of each political party and ministers for election campaign is being carried out.
In addition to this, Manas Maheen, Executive Director of Cafe Organization, mentioned that on the upcoming election day of September 21st, Cafe Organization is making arrangements to establish 3500 Election Day Observers nationwide to engage in election observation activities.
