Mother's body not cremated.. Children fought over property.. Dead body lying on street for 3 days-oneindia newsHyderabad: The incident of 4 children fighting over the division of her property without cremating the body of a mother who died due to ill health has caused great excitement and sadness in Telangana. As a result, the mother’s body lay unclaimed on the street for 3 days.

Lakshamamma hails from Neretsherla in Suryapet district of Telangana. He is 73 years old and has a son Saidi Reddy (43) and two daughters. All are married and have children. Meanwhile, Lakshamamma, who was suffering from health problems for the past few months, died last Monday.

Subsequently, Lakshamamma’s body was brought from the hospital in an ambulance. But on the way there was a dispute between her son Saidi Reddy and 3 daughters regarding the division of the properties belonging to Lakshamamma. As the property was not divided, the problem arose as to who owned which house and how much land.

Also, there was no agreement between the 4 children regarding the cost of cremating Lakshmamma’s body. Son Saidi Rettio fought that his 3 sisters should bear the cost of cremation equally.

The innocent mother’s body was kept in a refrigerator in the street for more than 3 days because of this fight between the children. The villagers then intervened and told Saidi Reddy that he should bear the entire cost of the cremation as his mother had given him a lot of money.

Subsequently, Saidi Reddy took over the cost of cremation from his mother’s Rs.15 lakh. The next day after cremation, the 4 children are fighting again over the division of their mother’s property. The people of that town stood in shock, not knowing whether to cry or laugh at the children who fought for the property without even performing the funeral rites of their mother.
