Muhammad Yunus And Narendra Modi Talk Attack on Minorities in Bangladesh: Modi

In the neighboring state of Bangladesh, violence has been going on for the past few weeks. The students’ protest against the reservation shook the entire country. Clashes broke out between the police and students, resulting in the loss of lives on both sides. Most of the students were killed.

As the protest intensified, the Prime Minister’s House was vandalized. Sensing that the situation had gone too far, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina took refuge in a private plane from Bangladesh to India. Attempts to go to England continue to backfire and he remains in India.

Army Commander Walker-Uz Zaman, who has embarked on the process of forming an interim government in Bangladesh, held a consultation with the students’ union. The students’ organization wanted Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus (84) to take charge as the chief adviser to the interim government. Mohammad Yunus took over as the head of the Interim Government of Bangladesh. President Mohammad Shakhabuddin administered the oath of office to him.

Apart from this, minorities are under attack in Bangladesh. There are reports that minority Hindus are being attacked in Muslim-majority Bangladesh.

Congratulating Muhammad Yunus on his election as the Chief Adviser to the Interim Government, Prime Minister Modi tweeted, “My heartiest congratulations to Professor Muhammad Yunus on his new responsibilities. We hope for a speedy normalization while ensuring the safety of Hindus and other minority communities. “India is committed to working with Bangladesh to fulfill the aspirations of the people of our two countries for peace, security and development,” he said.

In this case, Prime Minister Modi contacted the Interim Chief Advisor of Bangladesh Mohammad Yunus over the phone today, while the news of attacks against Hindus continues to be published. Both leaders discussed the situation in Bangladesh. He emphasized India’s support for a democratic, peaceful and progressive Bangladesh

Mohammad Yunus assured Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the security of all minorities including Hindus in Bangladesh will be ensured.
