Nagapattinam MP : Nagapattinam MP Selvaraj passed away early today due to ill health.
Member of Nagapattinam Lok Sabha Constituency and State Executive Committee Member of Communist Party of India M. Selvaraj passed away today due to ill health in Chennai Hospital. His funeral will take place tomorrow (May 14) morning.
M. Selvaraj from Chittamalli area near Needamangalam, Thiruvarur district, joined the Communist Party of India from a young age and performed well in various small and minor roles.
After that, in 1996, 1998 and in the last 2019 elections, he contested Nagai Lok Sabha constituency on behalf of the Communist Party of India and served as an MP for 4 times. This time Selvaraj did not contest in the 2024 elections.
Selvaraj, who had already undergone a kidney transplant, was recently admitted to a private hospital in Chennai due to ill health. But he died today at 2 o’clock in the morning without treatment. It has been said that his cremation will be held tomorrow morning at Sudtamalli near Kotur in Tiruvarur district around 10 am.

Chief Minister M.K.Stalin expressed his grief saying, “I express my deepest condolences to his bereaved family, Communist Party of India comrades, and the people of Nagai Constituency.”
