There is a milk cooperative called KMF in the state of Karnataka. Its products are sold under the brand name Nandini. Examples include milk, curd, buttermilk, butter, ghee, ice cream, chocolate and sweets. KMF is functioning under the Department of Cooperatives, Government of Karnataka. Nandini is the largest dairy cooperative in India after Amul.
Nandini milk sales
Milk is procured, processed and sold from more than 27 lakh farmers across the state. are converted into dairy products. Nandini brands have been selling for over 50 years. 500 ml of Nandini milk is priced at Rs 22 and a liter of milk is sold at Rs 42.
Sudden price rise
The prices of Nandini milk products are revised from time to time. An important announcement has been made in that regard. Out of which, Nandini milk has been hiked by Rs 2 per litre. Whereas 50 milliliters of extra milk will be added to each milk packet and sold.
what is the reason?
The price hike will be effective from tomorrow (June 26). In this regard, the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) said that considering the current harvest season, the amount of milk collected in all district milk societies is continuously increasing.
Which increases the price of milk
According to the latest situation, it has come to know that it is going to be close to one crore litres. That is why we have added 50 ml of milk in each milk packet and increased the price by Rs 2. It is said that this applies only to half liter (500 ml) and one liter (1000 ml) milk packets.
Price in effect
With the new notification, 550 ml milk will be sold at Rs 22 and 1050 ml milk at Rs 44. It is to be noted that this applies to all types of milk sold under the Nandini brand.
