The NEET entrance exam for junior medical courses was held across the country on May 5. Around 23 lakh students appeared for this exam. But this year’s NEET exam was mired in various controversies including question paper leak, mercy marks controversy and staff turnover. As a result, this issue caused great shocks across the country.
Opposition parties are insisting to cancel NEET exam. Protests were also held against the NEET exam. More than 50 cases were filed in the Supreme Court seeking cancellation of the NEET exam and related to the NEET exam controversy. The CBI, which is probing the question paper leak issue, has arrested several people, including students.
In this case, the Supreme Court, which is investigating the case related to the leak of the NEET examination question paper, had raised various questions to the National Examination Agency. And yesterday it ordered that the NEET results should be published city-wise and exam-wise by 12 noon on July 20.
The Supreme Court had said that only the mark details should be published center wise and the identity of the students should not be published. In this case, following the order of the Supreme Court, the center-wise NEET results have been published today. The National Examinations Agency has released the NEET results.
The exam results have been published on the website exams.nta.ac.in. The details of the students have been kept secret and the exam results have been published center wise. It is reported that although the results are published center wise, only the candidates can see the results.
