Nellai Municipal Corporation DMK 25th ward councilor Kittu alias Ramakrishnan has been announced as the mayoral candidate.
Saravanan, who was the mayor of Nellie Corporation, resigned from his post. Subsequently, the State Election Commission ordered to elect a new mayor. The councilors contesting for the mayoral candidacy should file their nomination papers tomorrow morning from 10.30 am to 11 am at the Rajaji Center meeting hall in the main office of the corporation. Time for consideration of nominations is 11 am to 11.30 am and time for withdrawal is 11.30 am to 11.45 am. If there is competition in it, arrangements are ready to hold elections.
