new criminal laws CPI Leader Mutharasan Support Advocates Protest-oneindia news

Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023, Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam will come into force from tomorrow in response to Indian Penal Code (IPC), Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) and Indian Evidence Act.

In the face of strong opposition from the beginning, the law will come into force despite opposition opposition. In protest against this, a protest will be held on behalf of the lawyers’ association.

In this context, in a statement issued by the State Secretary of the Communist Party of India, Mutharasan, he pointed out that the Union Government has changed these sections in an anti-people manner, brought new laws, named them in the obsolete Sanskrit language, and indicated that the whole of India should use the same language titles.

Discussing this, a joint committee of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Bar Associations pointed out that the action is against Article 348 of the Constitution of India and has requested the Union Government to suspend it immediately and withdraw it completely.

Emphasizing this demand, it has been decided to observe tomorrow as a black day, fast at the gates of the courts and stay away from court work for a week from that day onwards. He also said that he has decided to hold demonstrations in front of courts on July 2, in front of Union government offices on July 3, and to hold a lawyer’s rally on July 8 in Trichy.

Further, “Union government arbitrarily passed 3 laws after expelling all the opposition MPs. These laws should never be enforced. On behalf of the Communist Party of India, we welcome the ongoing protests by lawyers demanding full withdrawal. We extend our party’s full support. We wish the struggle a success,” Mutharasan announced.
