Chennai : Meteorological department has given orange alert as very heavy rain is likely in 3 districts of Tamil Nadu.
While heavy rains have been lashing many districts for the past few days, (May 15) Chennai Meteorological Center has informed that there is a possibility of very heavy rains in 3 districts.
Theni, Virudhunagar and Tenkasi districts are likely to receive very heavy rains due to the atmospheric circulation in the Kumari Sea area (May 15). The Chennai Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert due to the possibility of very heavy rain in these 3 districts.
Similarly, on May 18th, there will be very heavy rain in Thenkasi, Thoothukudi, Nellai and Kanyakumari districts, and on May 19th, a warning has been issued for the districts of Theni, Thenkasi, Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Kanyakumari and Nellai.
