The revenue department has clarified that the same serial number is given to both the direct patta and subdivision patta under the first-come-first-served policy introduced by the revenue department.
In a statement issued in this regard, “Land ownership documents are computerized and through the web-based software ‘Tamil Nilam’, e-transfer orders are being issued by revenue officers. Through this, public can apply for change of license at the nearest public service center or online at https://eservices.tn.gov.in and get orders for change of license. In this, the action on the petition requesting change of license is communicated to the petitioner through SMS.
There are two types of petitions for change of charter. One is a strap change with clause; Another is direct lease transfer without clause. According to this, separate serial number has been given to the applications seeking transfer of title with clause and the applications seeking direct change of title without clause and orders are being issued on them in due time. Since this government took charge, 81.76 lakh orders for change of belt have been issued online in three years.
In order to expeditiously provide these services to the public with more transparency, the procedure of processing applications in order of receipt has been introduced from 4.6.2024 for applications seeking direct change of lease without subdivision.
15,484 transfer orders have been issued from 4.6.2024 to 16.6.2024 on ‘first come first served’ basis in applications seeking direct transfer without clause.
Also, ‘First Come First Served’ procedure will soon be implemented in case of transfer applications with clause.
Therefore, it is stated that the message that same serial number is being issued for both types of applications is incorrect,” it said.
