Special buses will be run from Chennai across Tamil Nadu for the weekend.
A large number of people from various districts of Tamil Nadu and from other states are staying in Chennai for work, education and business. They used to go to their hometowns on weekends.
In this situation, special buses are usually run by the Tamil Nadu Government Transport Corporation on weekends from Chennai for the convenience of the people going to their hometowns.

In this regard, special buses are going to be run from Chennai to various areas in view of the upcoming weekends.
A notification issued by the Tamil Nadu Government Rapid Transport Corporation says, “265 buses will depart from Chennai Klambach on Friday 28th to Tiruvannamalai, Madurai, Trichy, Kumbakonam, Nellai, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi, Salem, Erode, Coimbatore and Tirupur on Saturday 29th. 320 buses will be operated.

Also, 65 buses will be run from Chennai Coimbatore to Tiruvannamalai, Nagai, Velanganni, Hosur, Bangalore on 28th and 65 buses on Saturday.
Apart from this, 200 special buses will be operated from Bangalore, Tirupur, Erode and Coimbatore to various destinations.
Also, 15 buses will be operated from Chennai Koyambedu bus station on 28th to Thiruvannamalai and 15 buses on 29th, totaling 30 buses.
Also on Sunday 30th, special buses will be operated from all the places as per the demand of the passengers for the convenience of the public to return from their hometowns to Chennai and Bangalore,” it said.

In this situation, 4234 passengers have booked to go home for the weekend, 1930 passengers on Saturday and 4,129 passengers on Sunday.
