AIADMK General Secretary and Tamil Nadu Leader of Opposition Edappadi Palanichamy has demanded that the Kallakurichi poisoning death case should be transferred to the CBI.

A protest demonstration was held under the leadership of AIADMK general secretary Edappadi Palanichami on behalf of Kallakurichi district AIADMK, condemning the Kallakurichi poison liquor case and insisting that the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister should take moral responsibility for the Kallakurichi poison liquor case while 58 people have died due to consumption of poisoned liquor in Karunapuram, Madhavachery, Seshasamutram and other areas of Kallakurichi district.

AIADMK general secretary Edappadi Palanichamy, who gave a keynote speech at the protest, said that the AIADMK is insisting on a CBI investigation into the Kallakurichi poisoning case and that the legislators and parliamentarians are going to meet the Tamil Nadu governor on behalf of the AIADMK tomorrow.

Condemning the Kallakurichi poisoned liquor issue and demanding the resignation of the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, the AIADMK members raised slogans and participated in the protest demonstration.
