44On the occasion of the annual celebration of the historic Nallur Kandaswamy Temple, the Kalanji handing over ceremony to the designers of the flagpole took place today (30) morning.
Valliammai Thirukalyana study was followed by the planting of the ball, Kalanchi was taken from Nallur to the school in a traditional Kalanji cattle cart for the elders who presented the flag in traditional manner and the newspaper and Kalanchi were handed over for the Perundruvizha according to the cultural tradition.
It is worth noting that the annual festival of the temple will begin with the flag hoisting on the morning of Friday 09th and will continue for 25 days.
