The written test for the Puducherry police force started this morning. 4,429 candidates appeared for 500 posts in 12 centres. The exam started at 10 AM and ended at 12 PM.
For this exam, candidates were advised to reach the exam center by 9:30 am and the gate of the exam center was closed when three youths arrived two minutes late.
In this, a youth held the gate and cried because he could not write the exam. They threw the exam admit card on the road in frustration as they were denied permission no matter how much they requested. Also, some of the women candidates were holding the gate and crying.
Earlier, candidates were allowed to write the exam only at the examination center mentioned in the admit card. Cannot appear in other centers. They should bring their passport size photograph in the entry ticket with their signature affixed at the appropriate place.
Also, the candidates are advised to bring the original of Aadhaar / Voter ID Card / Driving License / Passport / Income Tax PAN Card along with the admit card. The entrance gate of the examination center was closed at exactly 9.30 am and was admitted after checking fingerprints and attendance records.
Candidates should bring only black ball point pen, admit card and original identity card to the examination center. Carrying of other electronic devices such as handbags / mobile phones / bluetooth devices / head phones / calculators / pen drive is prohibited. Those possessing such devices during the examination were handed over to the police department and warned that action would be taken as per criminal procedures.
All examination centers are equipped with jammers and all examination rooms are monitored by CCTV cameras. It is also to be noted that all the candidates were allowed to enter the examination center only after fingerprinting and screening.
