Increase in water availability
The water availability in all the lakes has greatly increased due to the rains in the past few days. Major lakes in Chennai such as Puzhal, Cholavaram, Cholaikandigai etc. have water reserves. Puzhal Lake has a capacity of 3300 million cubic feet. It has a water reserve of 2772 million cubic feet.
Cholavaram Lake
Similarly Cholavaram lake with a capacity of 1081 million cubic feet is also very famous. The lake currently holds 124 million cubic feet of water. With a capacity of 500 million cubic feet, there is currently 301 million cubic feet of water in the lake.
