29Rathnadeepam, a hilly arts and culture association, recently held an award ceremony at Chelathurai Memorial Hall, Kandy.
Various artistes were felicitated at the award ceremony and memorial services for late actor Vijayakumaranatunga and Mohideen Bagh were also held.
Professor Durai Manokaran, Head of the Department of Tamil, Peradanai University, was the Chief Guest in this event.
Sinhala film producer Padmasiri Kodikara, lawyer Kalanidhi A.M. were the special guests. Vice, businessman Basan Chandrasekhara and president of Ratna Deepam organization Desamanya S. Parameswaran and many others were present.
It is noteworthy that many social workers and artists were honored.
