Former Karnataka Chief Minister Yeddyurappa said today (May 5) that Revanna’s arrest will not affect the parliamentary elections in any way.
Former Prime Minister Deve Gowda’s grandson and Hassan MP Yumana Prajwal Revanna is again contesting from the same constituency on behalf of the BJP alliance.
While voting was held there on April 26, 3,000 pornographic videos of him being intimate with various women were released.
A case of sexual harassment was registered against Prajwal Revanna on a complaint filed by a 25-year-old woman. A 48-year-old woman who worked in his house also lodged a complaint and a case was registered against Prajwal and his father Revanna under 4 sections.
He reportedly went to Germany on the same day the porn videos were released. While Prajwal Revanna has fled abroad, a notice has been posted at his house asking him to appear for investigation.
But, as he has not appeared for the hearing till now, a lookout notice has been issued against him. In a sudden twist, SIT officials arrested JD(S) MLA Revanna yesterday.
The abducted woman’s son had complained to Revanna and her assistant Satish that his mother had been abducted. Meanwhile, it is noteworthy that the special investigation team has found the abducted woman.
Following this, after the local court rejected Revanna’s plea seeking an interim injunction from arresting her in the case of kidnapping, the SIT police arrested Revanna at her house yesterday.
In this case, former Karnataka Chief Minister Yeddyurappa said today (May 5) that Revanna’s arrest will not affect the elections.
In this regard, he said, “BJP is 101 percent sure to win in the parliamentary elections that are going on all over India. Revanna’s arrest will not reverberate in the parliamentary elections.
Rahul Gandhi’s speeches did not make any impact with the BJP and the people. Yeddyurappa said that the absence of a prime ministerial candidate is the biggest setback for the Congress party.
