Heat wave: Tamil Nadu’s Erode district ranks 3rd among the districts with the highest temperature recorded in India.
Anandpur in Andhra Pradesh recorded the highest temperature in India at 110.3 degrees Fahrenheit. Similarly, 15 places in Tamil Nadu were hit by the sun. Out of which, Erode and Salem recorded maximum temperature of 108.14° Fahrenheit.
Bhubaneswar in Odisha and Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh recorded the maximum heat. Following this, Erode and Salem were hit by a heat wave, with temperatures of 108.14° Fahrenheit recorded, the India Meteorological Department said.
In this case, people should be careful as there is a possibility of health damage due to heat. District Collectors have advised that no one should come out unnecessarily from 12 noon to 3 pm.
Also, Pradeep John, a private meteorologist, said that it will be hot in Tamil Nadu. In this regard, he said that the coastal districts will be scorched by the sun. Expect summer rains in Tenkasi, Kudalur and Ooty. He said that there is no chance of rain for Chennai.
