STR-48 : Actor Simbu is currently wrapping up his lead role in Kamal Haasan starrer ‘Thug Life’. After wrapping up the dubbing work of the film, he is expected to next act in STR-48. It was only announced that STR-48 will be directed by Desingu Periyasamy and produced by Kamal Haasan.
Even though the official announcement about the film has been released, there is no sign that the shooting has started. So, what many Simbu fans are waiting for is when the shooting of STR-48 will start. But there are reports that the shooting of the film is not likely to start this year.

Because Simbu Desingu has changed the film to be the 50th film directed by Sami. That means Thak Life is his 48th film and next he will act in his 49th film. The film will be directed by Jude Anthony Joseph who is famous for directing the 2018 film.
After completing this film, Simbu is planning to act in Kamal Haasan’s 50th film directed by Desing Periya Samy. Simbu is said to have taken this decision considering the fact that the film is a very big budget film and it would be better if it was his 50th film. However, no official announcement has been made regarding this.

On the one hand, it is usual for cinema to have competition. Since the early days, there has been a rivalry between Rajini-Kamal, Ajith-Vijay and Simbu-Dhanush. While Dhanush has directed his 50th film Raayan and given a hit, there are whispers in the cinema circle that Simbu has taken this decision only to give a hit to compete with him.
