Bengaluru-based electric scooter manufacturer Simple Energy has introduced an extended warranty plan for its electric scooters in India.
The company has introduced two additional warranty plans ‘Simple Protect’ and ‘Simple Super Protect’ for its two electric scooters in India, Simple One and Simple Dot One.
Simple Energy’s Additional Warranty Plans:
Currently, with these extended warranty plans, Simple Energy offers a warranty of 8 years or 60,000 km (whichever comes first) on the electric motor and battery used in their electric scooters.
Customers can get additional warranty for both battery and electric motor through Simple Protect plan and Simple Super Protect plan.
Standard battery and electric motor:
Simple Energy manufactures 95% of the components for their electric scooters in-house. The company has announced these additional warranty plans to reassure customers that their product is of high quality.
Simple Energy Electric Scooters:
The company’s flagship ‘Simple One’ electric scooter is priced at Rs 1.66 lakh ex-showroom. With a 5.0kWh battery, it has a certified range of 212 km.
Its other electric scooter, the Simple Dot One electric scooter, uses a 3.5kWh battery with a certified range of 151 km. The electric scooter is priced at Rs 1.46 lakh ex-showroom. Both these electric scooters are powered by an electric motor capable of producing 8.5kW of power.
Simple Energy Stores:
Simple Energy operates its stores in a total of seven locations in India. Accordingly, the company has stores in three locations in Bengaluru namely Rajajinagar, Marathahalli and JPnagar and in four cities apart from Bengaluru namely Goa, Vijayawada, Pune and Kochi.
It is noteworthy that the company’s electric scooter manufacturing plant is located in Chulagiri in Tamil Nadu.
