District SP Interview:
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident. Virudhunagar district SP Peroz Khan, who personally investigated the explosion, told reporters yesterday that the reason for such accidents was the hiring of workers without proper training.
Cause of accident:
Also, in a cracker factory, there should be only 2 people in a production room. There should not be people beyond that. A supervisor called foreman must be present in the plant. He should supervise the works. Training on recovery should be provided at regular intervals. Violation of these rules leads to accidents.
The above norms are generally violated during festivals, when demand is high. He said that then the plant management hires untrained workers. SP Peroz Khan also said that a case will be filed against the person in whose name the firecracker factory license is in this incident, and if there is no supervisor at the place, a case will also be filed against him.
The Chengalambatti Sudarsan Fireworks firecracker factory where the accident occurred is in the name of Saravanan (55 years old) from Thirutangal area.
2 arrested:
So far, the Sivakasi East police have arrested the contractor Muthu Krishnan and the war man (supervisor) Suresh in connection with this explosion today (May 10) morning. Also, the police are looking for the plant owner Saravanan and the plant manager involved in this case.
