Skoda’s plan for the international market:
The Elrock Electric Compact SUV is expected to be an affordable Skoda electric car. Skoda plans to launch six new electric cars internationally in the coming years. The Elrock will be the first of those six electric cars.
Skoda Elrock Electric Compact SUV:
Skoda has now released a preview image of the Elrock with LED DRLs and matrix lamps. The new car seems to have a modern new design language, a departure from their usual designs. The car is also expected to be a preview for the upcoming Skoda Electric models.
Skoda Elrock: Interior Design
The Elrac is Skoda’s third electric car to be launched internationally after the Enyac and Enyac Coupe models. The ElRock electric car is expected to be similar in size to the company’s Karoq SUV model, with good space. Last year, Skoda introduced a concept electric car called Epiq. The production version of this car will be ready next year. Skoda is going to position the new Elrock electric car just above this car.
Skoda Elrock: Platform
Skoda has built this new electric car on Volkswagen Group’s new MEB platform, so it looks like it will only be sold in electric form. Also, this platform has the form of using single and dual electric motors. It remains to be seen how the electric motor will be used in the Elrock model.
Skoda’s electric car plans for India:
Currently, Skoda is planning to launch Enyaq in India and is currently testing the model on Indian roads. We can expect the introduction of the electric car in India by the end of this year. The company also plans to bring one of the six electric cars it plans to launch in the next international market to India.
Skoda also plans to set up an electric car assembly plant in India by 2027. It is to be noted that if the company releases new electric cars in India before that, it will be sold in CBU (Completely Built Unit) mode.
