Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Bahrain Reethisri Wijeratne Mendis was invited to the “Ramadan Ambassador Council” programme, organized by the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for the Diplomatic Research (MBMA) of the Kingdom of Bahrain on 28 March 2024.
The session was moderated by the Director-Common of the Academy Dr. Shaikha Muneera bint Khalifa Al Khalifa.
Ambassador Reethisri Wijeratne Mendis throughout her presentation deliberated on the historic ties between Bahrain and Sri Lanka, highlighting the progress made by two nations. She additionally acknowledged Bahrain’s function in combating COVID-19 and expressed hopes for future collaboration. The Ambassador spoke on Sri Lanka’s overseas coverage, her profession journey, and her experiences in diplomacy and the significance of communication and know-how in worldwide relations.
Ambassador Mendis expressed her deep gratitude to the MBMA for organizing this program, and offering her with the chance to take part in it.
In her concluding remarks Dr. Shaikha Muneera expressed her honest gratitude to Ambassador Reethisri Wijeratne Mendis for her helpful contribution. She additional acknowledged that the MBMA is wanting ahead for additional collaboration with the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Bahrain.
