The newly renovated Dambulla Primary School at a cost of Rs 23.5 million was officially handed over for the use of students.
The Minister of State for Defense also pointed out that this reconstruction work was carried out within a period of about eight months with the full participation of the soldiers of the Sigiriya base of the Sri Lanka Air Force and expressed his thanks and appreciation for this.
Reconstructed with the full participation of Sri Lankan Air Force (SLAF) technical and personnel personnel, the school was handed over for the use of the students by Minister of State for Defense Pramitha Bandara Thennakone and Matalai District Member of Parliament Janaka Bandara Thennakone.
For this, all the buildings of the said school have been newly reconstructed and all necessary facilities including electricity, water and sanitation have been newly made and handed over for the use of the students.
Sri Lanka Air Force Sigiriya Base Commanding Officer Group Captain Wiranga Premawardena, Education Department and government officials, principal, teachers, students and their parents attended the event.
