The anti-bribery police had received a complaint that both Syamala, who was working as an officer of the Urban Planning Division in the Kanchipuram Corporation office, and Shekhar, who was working as an inspector of the Sivakanchi power line in the power board, had added property in excess of their income.
Test from 6.30 am onwards
Following this complaint, the Kanchipuram District Bribery and Anti-Corruption Unit registered a case and Kanchipuram Anti-Corruption Police Inspector Geetha and departmental police conducted a surprise search at his house in Rajagopal Street near Kanchipuram Manditheru from 6.30 am.
Addition of assets in excess of income
In this investigation by the anti-bribery department police which started at 6 in the morning, it was revealed that when they added more property than their income, their property was 69 percent more than their income i.e. 74 lakh rupees.
Unaccounted cash
Also, it came to light that recently they bought a part of the existing house and built 3 flats in Nityantham Nagar and also bought 49 cents of land in Orikai area. Documents related to it and some other important documents are said to have been seized. Similarly, an unaccounted amount of 1 lakh 37 thousand rupees in cash has also been seized.
Change of work
Especially when he was working as an urban planning division officer in Kanchipuram Corporation, he was transferred to Kalakadu village next to Kanyakumari based on various complaints.
