Chennai: The cold war between the transport workers and the police for the past few days has ended today.
A few days ago, a policeman in uniform boarded a bus from Nagercoil to Tuticorin via Nanguneri at the stop next to the Nanguneri court bus stop. When the conductor asked him for a ticket, he refused to take it and said that he was going for government work as a government employee. The conductor told him that he can travel for free only if he has a police warrant, so the two got into an argument and the bus was stopped for a few minutes.
The video of the altercation between the policeman and the conductor went viral on social media. After this incident, the action of the traffic police on the government buses is a bit stricter. Various cases were registered against government buses and drivers like government buses stopping across the boundary line, government buses stopping at no parking, drivers not wearing seat belts and carrying too many passengers.
The cold war between the transport workers and the police continued in various areas like Tambaram, Chennai and Nellai. Following this, today the two government employees involved met each other and released the video and resolved the issue between the two government departments by saying that the transport department and the police will go peacefully.

When both of them talked, both of them gave their opinion that day. Then you (guard) took the ticket and traveled. The video was wrongly posted on social media. They said that from now on, both the departments will do their respective jobs peacefully. Similarly, there has been traffic congestion on government buses for the past few days
