Hyderabad : A family in Basheerabad area of Telangana’s Viharabad district was shocked when a person who was presumed dead returned home alive.
Following the tragic death of an unidentified person in a train accident at the Viharabad railway station, the railway police recovered a mobile phone from the deceased’s possessions.
Believing it to be that of Pithala Yellappa (40), a goatherd from Navantki, they informed his family that he had died on Saturday night.
The bereaved family went to the mortuary where the police showed the body of the deceased. The family, who claimed Ellappa’s dead body as his face was disfigured in the horrific accident, made all arrangements for the funeral on Sunday and informed his relatives.
So, the truth is that it was not Yellappa who died. Yes, one of Yellappa’s relatives saw him in the tandoor and told him about the news of the death and that the cremation will take place today. Shocked to hear this, Ellappa called his family and informed them that he was alive.
That is, “Ellappa has been out of town for three days and has been working as a laborer at Tandoor railway station. His phone was stolen on Friday and the thief died in a train accident the following night. The police thought that the deceased was Yellappa and informed his family.
Now, the police suspect that the deceased may have stolen or found the cell phone of Ellappa somewhere near the railway station and are trying to identify him.
