Road Accident: Kapilan (50) hails from Salem Astampatti. He along with Awaneesh (49) of Tiruvalluvar Street, Arianguppam, Pondicherry and two women aged 30 and 35 had gone to the Thanjavur Temple by car on the Trichy Thanjavur National Highway. The car in which they came came to a stop on the Trichy-Tanjoi National Highway near Duvakkudi Government Hospital.
A government bus from Duvakkudi to Kiranur was going ahead to drop passengers and go to a government office, when the car behind it lost control and rammed into the back of the bus. In this, the front part of the car collided with the rear part of the government bus causing a terrible accident.
Both women tragically died on the spot in this tragic accident. The names and addresses of the women are not known. In this situation, Kapilan, who was driving the car, and Abaneesh, who was accompanying him, were rescued by Duvakkudi police and admitted to the Trichy Government Hospital. Also, the Duvakkudi police have registered a case regarding the incident and the police are investigating whether the deceased women are relatives of Kapilan and Awaneesh.
Kaplan and Avanish, who were injured in the accident, have informed their relatives. The police say that the identity of Kaplan and Avanish, who are unconscious, will be known only after they come to their senses or their relatives come and tell them who died.
