The said petition was filed by Senior Advocate Haneep Lepp, who was registered on behalf of Villiyayan Rajasekhar. During this, he presented his submissions on behalf of the petitioner demanding that the said transfer be canceled in an illegal and vindictive manner and this is an injustice done to an honest government servant.
Taking into consideration the arguments of both parties, the judge set a date for calling the case on the 8th of August and also summoned the relevant parties named as opponents to appear in court on the said date.
It is noted that the letter dated 24.06.2024 was issued stating that Villiyayan Rajasekhar, who held the post of Trincomalee Municipal Council Secretary, will be transferred to Kuchaveli Pradeshiya Sabha as per the instructions of the Eastern Governor and the release letter was also issued the next day.
