Darbaranyeswarar Temple Brahmotsava Ceremony:
The Brahmotsava chariot ceremony was held today at the famous Tirunallaru Darbaranyeswarar temple located in Karaikal district.
In the famous Thirunallar, the Pranambikai Sametha Darbaranyeswarar temple, which has a separate shrine dedicated to Lord Shani, is used to hold a Brahmotsava festival every year. In this way, this year’s Brahmotsavam festival started with flag hoisting on the last 5th.
Following the flag hoisting, various programs including Vinayagar Utsavam, Subramaniar Utsavam, Adiyar Utsavam, Senpaka Thyagaraja Swami Unmatta Nanam were held.
Festival of 5 Chariots:
In this situation, the most important event of the Brahmotsava festival, the 5 Chariot Chariot Ceremony started this morning. Earlier last Saturday night, Senpaka Thiagaraja Swami had woken up at Thiruther. Then Swami Nilotpalambal, Vinayagar, Subramaniyar and Chandikeswarar got up in separate chariots.
Mass participation of devotees:
Later, special pooja was performed for all 5 chariots and Mahadeeparathan was shown and the chariot festival started this morning. In this, the Puducherry Consumer Goods Supply and Consumer Affairs Minister, Tirunallaru Constituency Member of Legislative Assembly, temple administration officials Dharmapuram Atheenam and devotees pulled the chariot’s rope started with a bang.
A large number of policemen on security duty:
A large number of devotees from Karaikal and Tamil Nadu participated in this procession. It is noteworthy that a large number of policemen have been deployed for security.
