Tiruvarur DMK personality murder case:
Thanjavur DIG Zia Ulhaq has dismissed the female police inspector for failing to conduct a proper investigation in the Tiruvarur DMK leader’s murder case.
DMK leader Babu (age 48) from Chozhinganallur in Tiruvarur district. He has also been a transport vehicle contractor at Karaikal Port.
His son Bala is studying dentistry and the housewarming ceremony of Babu’s cousin’s house in Rajamani Nagar, Thanjavur took place on the ninth of June.
Babu has come to Thanjavur from Thiruvarur in a jeep along with his son Bala to participate in this function. At around 11 am in the morning, the jeep was stopped at a box store in Gnanam Nagar, Thanjavur to buy disinfectants, when suddenly a fast car came in front of it and stopped hiding the jeep.
Police failing to conduct proper investigation:
The driver of the car honked loudly. When Babu tried to get down from the jeep, two men came down from the car with a sickle and slashed Babu with a letter on the bottom.
Taking this and seeing his father being cut before his eyes, the son was shocked and screamed.
As Babu died on the spot due to a flood of blood, Thanjavur District Superintendent of Police, Additional Superintendent of Police DSPs and police rushed to the spot and conducted an investigation. Later Babu’s body was sent to Thanjavur Government Medical College Hospital for post-mortem and then his body was handed over to his relatives.
SUSPENSION AND ORDER:
Babu’s son Bala filed a complaint at Thanjavur Taluka police station regarding this murder in broad daylight.
In this case, 3 special forces were formed to catch the killers, Murugesan from Thanjavur Anna Nagar, Sivakumar Kondi from Rajapalayam area, Ganesan from Vayalur North Street arrested three people.
At this stage, there is a new twist in this case. That means DMK leader Babu has already sent a complaint to the DGP that his life was threatened. The area where Babu resides falls under Vaipur police station limits of Tiruvarur district. Hence the petition has been sent to Vaipur Police Station for investigation. Meanwhile, Thanjavur DIG has ordered the dismissal of Vaipur police woman inspector Akhilandeshwari for failing to conduct proper investigation on Babu’s petition due to Babu’s murder.
