As the demand for travel increases, so does the demand for vehicles. Two-wheeler sales in India are hitting new highs every month. In this way, the list of top 10 most sold bikes in April this year has been released. Bikes from Hero, Honda, Bajaj and TVS occupy prime spots. Let’s see which bikes and scooters occupy which places.
10. Bajaj Platina:
Bajaj’s Platina commuter bike has been ranked 10th with sales of 44,054 units this April alone. This is 4.90% less sales compared to April last year. Bajaj sold 2,268 fewer Platina bikes than last year.
9. TVS Apache:
In April alone, 45,520 Apache series bikes were sold. This is an increase of 19.32% compared to last year. TVS had sold 38,148 Apache series bikes in April last year.
8. TVS Raider:
Launched by TVS as a sporty commuter to appeal to the Gen Z generation, the Raider model sold 51,098 units last month alone. In April last year, the same Raider model had sold only 31,491 units. Raider has seen a sales growth of 62.26% this April compared to April last year.
7. Suzuki Access:
Out of the three scooters in this top 10 list, the Access has less sales than the other two scooters at 61,960. Access has seen a sales growth of 18.63% compared to April last year. 52,231 Access scooters were sold in April last year.
6. TVS Jupiter:
Another scooter that features in this list is the TVS Jupiter with sales of 77,086 units. As against 59,583 Jupiter scooters sold in April last year, it has increased by 29.38% this April.
5. Hero HF Deluxe:
The HF Deluxe is one of the two Hero bikes featured in this list. It is the preferred bike model for most commuter bike customers due to its good mileage and engine. As against 78,700 HF deluxe bikes sold in April last year, 97,048 units were sold this April. This is a growth of 23.31%.
4. Honda Shine:
Honda Shine has registered a whopping 59.93% sales growth over April last year. While 89,261 Shine bikes were sold in April last year, 1.42 lakh bikes were sold this April.
3. Bajaj Pulsar:
Bajaj’s Pulsar series is the most preferred bike series by the Indian youth as a sporty commuter. As against 1.15 lakh Pulsar series bikes sold in April last year, now the volume has increased by 25.52% to 1.44 lakh bikes.
2. Honda Activa:
The Activa is the favorite scooter model of Indian scooter customers. However, the Activa registered a sales growth of only 5.81% in April this year compared to last year. While 2.46 lakh Activa scooters were sold in April last year, it has increased to 2.60 lakh in April this year.
1. Hero Splendor:
Model Hero Splendor has been the crowning king of Indian two-wheeler sales for months. While 2.65 lakh Splendor series bikes were sold in April last year, the volume has increased by 21.01% in April this year. It is noteworthy that 3.20 lakh Splendor bags have been sold within the last one month alone, to an unprecedented level.
