Enormous development
Five years ago, Trichy had a direct flight to Bangkok. Thai AirAsia introduced services in this sector which was seen as one of the best tourist destinations in the world. However, later the services were all stopped. Trichy Airport has seen tremendous growth over the years with more international flights than domestic services.
New terminal
To this end the new airport terminal at Trichy has been expanded with 10 aero bridges and modern facilities. With such infrastructure in place, it can be fully utilized not only to generate revenue for the airport but also for the convenience of passengers in the region, officials said.
