Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa visited Kandy today (30) and met the Mahanayaka Theras of Malwattu and Askriya peedams and took their blessings. The first to visit the Malwathu vihara was the leader of the opposition Malwathu Peeda Mahanayake. Tippadua himself met Sri Sumangala Thera and received his blessings.
After this, the Leader of the Opposition who visited the Askri Maha Viharai, Ven. Varakagoda also met Sri Gnanarathana Thera and received his blessings.
The meeting was held to enlighten Malwattu and Askriya Maha Nayak Theras about the services rendered by United People’s Power. Opposition leader Sajith Premadasa said this while addressing the media after the meeting.
Leader of Opposition Sajith Premadasa met Malwattu and Askiri Mahanayake Theras today and apprised them about the programs of Pancham, Pancham Skill Classrooms and Pancham School Bus being carried out by United People’s Shakti.
Similarly, Malwattu and Askriya Mahanayaka Theras were also informed about the religious activities being carried out under the Sasunada Aruna program focusing on religious places of worship. A document containing all the budget statements and detailed information related to these projects was handed over to Malwathu and Askri Mahanayakar.
