We will provide protection to those who marry against caste – Balakrishnan interview

Balakrishnan, state secretary of the party, said that providing protection to those who marry against caste is the ultimate goal of the Marxist party.

Udaya Tatsaini from Perumalpuram, Tirunelveli district and Madan Kumar from Palayangottai got married last month at the office of the Marxist Communist Party in Tirunelveli. Protesting against the marriage, the women ransacked the Communist Party office.

In this case, the lovers of Udaya Tatsaini, a woman who married against the caste, filed a petition in the Chennai court demanding protection from her family.

The court ordered that protection should be provided to both of them who had married caste. Pursuant to the order, the romantic couple appeared at the Vadapalani police station today and provided details of their residence and the persons threatening them. In this situation, arrangements have been made to provide 24-hour police protection to both of them.

State Secretary of the Marxist Party Balakrishnan said, “It is our duty to provide protection to the couples who have married against caste.”

But the Hindu Front and some caste organizations are criticizing us as if the Marxist Communist Party is looking for lovers and forcing them to marry.

He said that we will provide protection to those who have come to us for protection after marrying with progressive love like this couple. The Marxist Communist Party will continue to provide protection to such progressive couples.

He further said that we urge the government to enact a law to ensure livelihood security for love married couples.
