Andal Jayanti is celebrated for 10 days in Aadipuram at Andal Temple in Srivilliputhur. If you visit Andal Golam on 10th day, unmarried women will get rid of marriage bar. Those who are childless will be blessed with children. It is believed that separated husband and wife will be reunited.

The best time to perform worship on the day of Aadi Pooram is to do it while taking a bath. On 7th August from 10.48 AM to 12.27 PM during the bath time you can worship the goddess Velabhooti during this time.
