This year it starts at 4.17 am on Friday 10th May and ends at 2.50 am on 11th May. But Akshayathridhi is to be celebrated only on Friday.
What is Akshaya Trithiyi?
Akshaya Trithiya is astrologically said to be the period when the father planet Sun and the mother planet Moon transit at the same time in Navagrahas. That means the day when the Sun sits in its exalted sign Aries and the moon sits in its exalted sign Taurus.
Aksaya N means complete, growing, without deficiency. We celebrate Aksaya Trithi on the day of Waxing in the month of Chitrai. And no matter what you buy or do on this day, it will multiply.
