T20 World Cup 2024: It has been reported that the Indian team for the T20 World Cup will be announced on May 1.
The much awaited ICC T20 World Cup series starts right after the end of this year’s IPL series. Accordingly, the T20 World Cup cricket series will be held in the West Indies, which will be hosted by the United States, from June 1 to June 29. A total of 20 teams have participated in this series, divided into 4 divisions.
In this context, the ICC had announced that the teams participating in the T20 World Cup series should announce their 15-man squad within a couple of days. Thus each team is announcing their players. In this situation, it has been reported that the BCCI is going to announce the 15-member Indian team for the T20 World Cup series on May 1.
Over the last few weeks, the BCCI has been working hard to select the Indian squad for the World Cup. As a result, expectations have been raised as to which players will be included in the team. In this context, the related information has also been released now. It is said that the much-awaited Shivam Dubey has been included in the squad only as a substitute.
It is also said that Subman Gill and Ryan Barak are also likely to be selected as substitutes. It has also been reported that Sanju Samson has been included in the Indian team. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav and Rishabh Pant were already almost certain to be in the Indian team.
Apart from them, KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, Ringu Singh, Ravi Bisnai are also likely to feature. However, the Indian squad will be known only when the official announcement comes.
