Why the confusion in the voting percentage of Tamil Nadu? Election Commissioner explanation.!

Election2024 : The election commissioner said that the error in voting percentage was due to the fact that some of the election officers did not report the voting details correctly.

The first phase of parliamentary elections was held last Friday, April 19, in 102 constituencies in 21 states. Elections were held in one phase in all 39 constituencies in Tamil Nadu. The voter turnout error in this election has been the talk of the town till now.

Although the polling in Tamil Nadu started at 7 am and ended at 6 pm, those who entered the polling booth before 6 pm were given tokens and the election continued past 8 pm. As a result, while the exact voting percentage details were not released, Chief Election Commissioner of Tamil Nadu Satyapratha Sahu told reporters that 72.09 percent votes were recorded in Tamil Nadu.

However, according to the information released by the Election Commission of India on the next day (April 20), only 69.46 percent of votes were registered in Tamil Nadu. It was revealed that there is a difference of 2.63 percent between what the Election Commissioner said and the Election Commission of India.

Tamil Nadu Chief Election Commissioner Satyapratha Saku said today that during polling, the district election officer should post the polling percentage every hour on the Election Commission app. But some election officers did not record the polling percentage properly. Since it is not an official order, some people do not follow it.

A small difference has arisen as the vote percentage has been reported according to that information. Finally, the voting percentage signed by the District Election Officer is the confirmed voting percentage. According to this, 69.46 percent voting has been declared in Tamil Nadu, Tamil Nadu Chief Election Commissioner Sathyaprada Saku has announced.
