Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has responded to a question on whether there is any plan B if the BJP does not get a majority in the parliamentary elections.
While 4 phases of polling for the parliamentary elections have ended, 3 more phases of polling are going to be held. Direct competition is currently going on between the ruling BJP and the All India Alliance, which has several parties including the DMK and the Congress. Only those who win 272 of the total 543 parliamentary constituencies can form a government at the center with a single majority.
Apart from this, many political experts say that the BJP will not be able to get a majority this time. In this context, “Do you have a plan B if the BJP does not get a majority?” A reporter questioned Amit Shah today. To which Amit Shah replied, “BJP is sure to get a majority. That is Plan A. If Plan A has no chance of success, then he should think of Plan B.”
