Election2024 : Congress candidate Akshay Gandhi Bam has withdrawn his candidature from Madhya Pradesh and joined the BJP.
During the Lok Sabha elections, various unexpected political incidents are happening here and there. Earlier in Gujarat Surat Lok Sabha constituency, Congress candidate Nilesh Kumbani’s nomination was rejected. After that other candidates also withdrew their nominations, BJP candidate Mukesh Dalal from Surat constituency was elected MP. BJP won their first victory in 2024 elections.
Currently, a similar phenomenon is happening in Madhya Pradesh. Akshay Gandhibham, who was fielded as a Congress candidate in the Indore Lok Sabha constituency, has now withdrawn his candidature and joined the BJP. Senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya said this.
Already, the petitions of 2 people to file nominations as alternate candidates in Indore on behalf of the Congress party have been rejected, so the Congress side is facing a setback without a candidate in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
Elections for a total of 29 constituencies in the state of Madhya Pradesh are going to be held in 4 phases. Elections for the remaining 17 constituencies will be held on May 7 and 13 following the 12 constituencies already held in 2 phases. Voting will be held in Indore on May 13.
Shankar Lalwani who won last time (2019 election) is contesting as BJP candidate in Indore. If other candidates in Indore like Surat withdraw by today, BJP is likely to get their 2nd win in 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
