If it were me, I would not put Sam Karan in the team! Virender Sehwag Open Talk !

Virender Sehwag: Sehwag has expressed his opinion that he will not include Sam Curran, the current captain of the Punjab team, in the ongoing IPL series.

Punjab captain Shikhar Dhawan has been out of action for the last few matches due to an injury in this IPL series. Thus, Sam Karan, the young all-rounder of the Punjab team, led the Punjab team in his place. In this case, the Punjab team suffered a defeat against the Gujarat team in the match held last night.

As a result Sam Karan and the Punjab team came under a lot of mixed criticism. Especially the former player of the Indian team and the former player of the Punjab team Virender Sehwag, Sam Karan, the current captain of the Punjab team, spoke to Cricbuzz about his opinion on Karan’s form.

He said, “If I was in the Punjab team now, I would not have Sam Karan in the team as a batting all-rounder or a bowling all-rounder. Because a player who scores a few runs with the bat and bowls some spells is of no use to the team.

You either have to be good at batting or else you have to win the tournament even with a little bit of batting. “Similarly, even if you bowl, you have to bowl frantically for wickets or not bowl at all”, said Sehwag in an interview with Cricbuzz.

Sam Karan bowled 2 overs and took 1 wicket for 18 runs in yesterday’s match. Also, he scored just 20 runs as an opener in batting. It is worth noting that Virendara Sehwag criticized him with this in mind.
