Pakistan High Commission today (05) observed “Yawm-e-Istehsal” day to commemorate the illegal and unilateral actions taken by India on August 05, 2019 in Indian illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.
Keynote speakers here highlighted the plight of Kashmiris and said the dispute was one of the oldest items on the agenda of the UN Security Council. Unfortunately, the dispute remains unresolved as India refuses to honor its commitments and respect basic human rights and international law.
High Commissioner Retired Major General Faheem ul Aziz in his address pointed out the inhumane military blockade, communication blockade, cordon and search operations, repression and brutal attack on innocent Kashmiris through fake encounters.
Also, the messages of Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on this day were also read.
